Very honored, I had the opportunity to judge the 2010 New Jersey's Junior Miss Pageant. This is a pageant which places a lot of emphasis on the scholastic aptitude of young women in the community. Judging pageants gives me the opportunity to recognize these incredible young ladies and help them reach their dreams. Congratulations to Nina and good luck at America's Junior Miss in Alabama.
A very special thanks to Miss Tussey for inviting me back to Alice Costello today for an oral health presentation. The children and I were able to do a Q & A about healthy snacking, tooth brushing and dental sealants today. The entire 1st grade was in attendance today and they all received spin toothbrushes today which were donated to my program by Church & Dwight (Evelyn Mc cloud). Thanks to everyone who made this opportunity possible for me, I really enjoy my time with the children and the opportunity to improve their oral health.
I had a wonderful weekend with my very good friends. Jodi & Scott Cesna did an incredible job as usual with their 2010 pageant. Jodi & Scott are also the directors for NJ, NY & OH so I was there not only to support my friend danielle but to represent as a former Mrs. New Jersey International Queen. Best of wishes to all the new ladies crowned.
I am a Dental Hygienist with a fabulous career in a cosmetic practice. I work 3 days a week so I dedicate myself to my communities on my day off. I am very passionate and dedicated in everything I do. My husband Jim makes me proud every day serving our country as a leader in the USAF. Jim and I are both Ambassadors with the Travis Manion Foundation and I am a volunteer in the dental community and a director with the Purses Full of Hope Charity. In May 2107 I will compete for Mrs. New Jersey United States . I hope to bring home the title and take my community service on a national journey. As far as my blog title goes, it was inspired by one of my favorite books Grit. One of the best compliments I ever received was when the Author Angela Duckworth told me to stay gritty. It is truly grit that got Jim and I where we are today.
